One of my favorite things about living in Decatur, Georgia, is the abundance of street art. There truly are some incredible works of artistry that blaze in brilliant color against the walls of buildings, restaurants, the MARTA, and even underpasses. This sweet bumble bee wall that marks the line into Kirkwood from Oakhurst, with the mantra to “never give up,” has been catching my eye for some time now. When my sisters came up to Atlanta to visit for my birthday, I knew I had to drag them here for some cool portraits.
Oh boy, it did not let me down. I seriously think I’ve caught the street art bug (no pun intended). I’m in love with the vibrancy of this session, and am down to document any and all street art portraits in the future. Really. Hit me up.
And of course, catching that awesome light as the sun came through past the MARTA overpass, yelling at the girls to stop in the middle of the street for a couple of quick urban headshots. Loveeeeee. Sarah and Beth Anne are always such great models and muses!
