Angela finished her Master of Social Work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill this spring, and is off to save the world (in between adventures, of course!).
When I started my MSW at UNC, I had no idea what incredible journeys were in store, nor did I realize that the people I would soon meet would come to forever leave a mark on my heart. Angela is one of those people – a former classmate and now soul friend. To be frank, she’s one of those people who are constantly on the GO GO GO (I’m sure you’ve met a few of them in your day – heck, you may even be one). Let me tell you, this girl here is the queen of them all, and it’s honestly exhausting and inspiring to watch her go from one project to the next. In all my time knowing her, she has never been happy with downtime unless she is saving the world.
Angela is also one of those people who can go from sitting in class one minute to buying plane tickets to Hawai’i the next – which is exactly what we did after knowing each other for only a few short months (I guess I should write a blog post about that too, huh?). She brings out that adventure bug in people, and I love her constant desire to explore and experience the world. When A asked me to take her graduation portraits, we made all these plans to travel around campus and make an afternoon of it – but then we got rained out instead. Seriously, what is it with me planning shoots and the weather having other ideas? In any case, we were able to snap a few pictures in between storm clouds and let me be the first to tell you, with those leis this Hawai’i-raised girl is a STUNNER. I mean, just check her out for yourself!
OKAY QUEEN. Really though, I know A is one of those people who might end up being POTUS one day, and I truly would not be surprised if that were the case. But for now, she’s a North Carolina saving, social work loving, child welfare championing incredible human being, and I’m down for adventure shoots with her any day.
On to the next adventure!
