There’s no other way to put it – Sarah slayyyyed her senior portrait session. I mean, she KILLED it. Don’t believe me? Check her out.
Like, dang. And not only is she gorgeous, but she is well on her way to being a veterinarian – this girl is seriously driven. S has known what she wanted to do since as long as she can remember, and has always had a love for animals. We’re talking anything from dolphins to horses – you name it. When S decided she wanted to apply for Auburn University, her family ties there were only one deciding factor. The other? You guessed it. Auburn’s vet school. And she’s already working two vet jobs and signing up for a full load of classes (seriously, round of applause for this girl).
The only thing better than senior portraits is photographing women like this who know exactly what they want and are on a MISSION to get there. Look out world (and boys!), don’t stand in her way. Powerful women demand respect, and let me tell you this girl is fierce. Again, don’t believe me? Just check out her portraits below.
Let’s get real for a second though, because as much as S is killing it, I know if some of y’all are like me when I scroll through a website you might be thinking to yourself, “Dang, but my pictures won’t look anywhere as good as that, I’m just so awkward!” Or maybe you aren’t thinking that and you’re already a pro at having your portraits taken – if so, great for you! You can feel free to skip ahead to the rest of the session pics and let me have a soap box moment for a second.
Because, to be honest, for most of you having confidence like S in front of a camera is really hard, and even though I’ve been taking portraits of others for years I’ll be the first to say that I absolutely hate being on the other side of the camera. The good thing is, even if I feel like an awkward bean myself when I’m having my own picture taken, I can help you feel exactly as confident as S looks here. (A little secret? Most of these poses were prompted!)
One of the things I love about photography is trying new poses, helping my clients see their own beauty, and just experimenting and having fun! Really, I can help with anything from gentle prompts to silly cues to telling you exactly how to pose – whatever you want, I’m game for anything to help you look back on your session images and feel like the gorgeous and confident human you are.
All that side note to say, don’t let the fear of the camera get you down, or stop you from reaching out for your own session. Okay, babe?
In the meantime, I’ll let S have her moment here to shine. I can’t wait to see where her future takes her!
Go get ’em, girl.
