This south Alabama wedding earlier this spring in March was simply perfect from start to finish. I had so much fun at their engagement session prior to the wedding, and I just knew that the wedding would be just as fun and easy (you can find their engagement session here). Savannah was not only a beautiful bride, but she was also so fun and laid back. I spent the morning capturing the special details of her and Kyle’s day, from lovely lanterns that the bridesmaids held as they walked down the aisles to invitations that Savannah made herself.
You can see that one of the lanterns even held an image of her brother, Travis.
Savannah was on a mission to have a wedding that was gorgeous but also practical. She made her own wedding bouquet with flowers from Publix, made her own wedding cake with finishing touches added just before walking down the aisle, and even kept the bonfire for s’mores going during the evening reception. I was in awe of her all day!
The Gilded Oaks is a new venue right on the edge of Elba and New Brockton, Alabama. This southern barn has touches of rustic, but it also has a beautiful fireplace, lovely bridal suite for getting ready, and a full kitchen space for caterers to prep in, as well as a covered patio in addition to a large outdoor area.
The vows that Savannah and Kyle wrote for each other were so sweet to hear – such an outpouring of love and adoration for each other. Kyle’s daughter, Charlie, sobbed during the entire ceremony which was SO precious. Even Kyle couldn’t stop the tears as Savannah read her vows.
During the ceremony, Kyle and Savannah ensured their loved ones who had passed on could still be felt, through lighting candles at a memorial table and sharing roses with the mothers and grandmothers. Following their vows, their first act as man and wife was to serve communion to the wedding party, family, and all guests.

When I asked Savannah and Kyle at their engagement session what they were most excited about for the wedding, they said in unison “the honeymoon!” Following this dried lavender exit, they spent a glorious week in St. Lucia to start their marriage (I’m only a teeny bit jealous).
Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Campbell!
