I know it’s not often that I share my own family in these blog posts, but I wanted to pop in real quick and wish all of my amazing clients a Happy Holidays and New Year!
Of course I had to get a few shots with my gorgeous siblings as well… It truly isn’t Christmas without family! I have the fondest memories of growing up around the holidays – cooking big dinners all day and spending time with extended family, grandparents and cousins; tricking my little sister into thinking we had ridden the Polar Express (my mom has a bell ornament that looks just like the ones from Santa’s sleigh!), decorating cookies… One year I even did a 12 Cookies of Christmas and it had to have been one of the yummiest yet!
I’ll be honest with y’all and get real for a minute, this has been a hard season for us and not just because of the way the world has changed with COVID. My dad was diagnosed with cancer earlier this fall and the holidays have looked a little different without his spectacular fried turkey, but I have loved the way we all pull together when he has to sit it out! Now that his surgery has been successful and he is “cancer free” (YAY!), we are all clinging a little tighter to him and each other! I am so blessed by the family God gave me.
I of course had to include some shots with our dogs, lab mix Jericho and Great Dane Goose. It’s always an adventure to get them both to sit and look for pictures, and I’m sure all of you dog owners well know my pain!
Much love and Merry Christmas!
