There are few things more beautiful than watching childhood friends you grew up with start families and have babies of their own. I count it as a blessing to not only have friends as lovely as these, but also that I am able to capture their family as they grow to a trio with the sweetest new baby girl. Hollyn, you may not know it yet, but you are so fiercely loved. They say it takes a village to raise a child, and this girl is going to have the whole city of Enterprise at her back.

This is also one of the reasons why I love family photography so much. I took Chris and Kaylyn’s and engagement pictures after he proposed, then took their baby announcement photos last year, and this past weekend had the immense joy of capturing little Hollyn. Enjoy more of their sweet family below.

Because of COVID, I had not been able to come down to Alabama to meet the newest addition to the Beard family, and by the time my October holiday minis rolled around I could just hardly wait to hold this precious girl and get these three behind my camera. I mean – those cheeks! I could just about do anything to love on this sweet girl, and at almost three months old this little nugget makes all those Southern girl squishy baby dreams come true.

I’ve heard that babies – especially under a year old – often tend to favor their daddies when they are little, and I kind of tend to agree with that statement. With Hollyn, I can definitely see both Kaylyn and Chris in that face. Who do you think she looks more like? Let us know in the comments and we can settle the debate once and for all!

Hollyn and the Beards. It almost sounds like a rad band name, doesn’t it? Let’s be honest, any of these would make a suh-weet album cover. I’d buy it for sure. I’ll have to let y’all know if they drop any singles – maybe we can make a little guitar player out of Hollyn, like her mama.

I don’t typically shoot newborns and infants, but Hollyn might be enough to make me change my mind. I can’t wait to watch you grow up and become just as sassy as your mama, sweet girl.
