Three years of marriage, lots of plants, and two fur babies later!
Recently, Tyler and I made the move from North Carolina down to Georgia in pursuit of being closer to family members. One of the best things about moving to this new place – hello, Atlanta! – is also being closer to old friends. Carrie and Wesley were married June 24, 2017 and are celebrating their third year of marriage this year. They’ve made it through a multitude of experiences in these first few years of their newlywed life – grad school; moving to Nebraska and back; adopting their cat, Esther; this lovely thing called working from home and Covid; and most recently adding this little cocker pup Archie to their family!
Fun fact about C + W, when they got married Tyler and I were the Best Man and Maid of Honor in their wedding! If not for these two, we might not have found our own soul mates. Three cheers for that, right?! When Carrie asked me to do their anniversary pictures, I jumped on it right away. Besides, who can resist that sweet pupper? I mean, look at that fluffy face!
One of the other fun things about moving to a new place is getting to explore and find new stomping grounds! I love trying all the new food places, checking out local coffee shops, finding good plant nurseries (any other houseplant nuts out there or is it just me?)… I could go on and on. When we discovered this spot right on the Chattahoochee River that also happens to be in C + W’s backyard, we had to snag some river pictures! Though it rained all morning, the sun came out full blast while we snapped some shots out on the dock. The river is also super special to C + W because it’s where they spend a lot of their free time together, kayaking and exploring!
Happy anniversary, you two. And – by the way – if there is ever any question about bringing fur babes to a shoot, the answer is always YES.
