There’s something in the air today… That’s right, it’s that ooey-gooeyest, lovey-doveyest, googly-eyedest, heart-shaped emoji-est day of the year, V-day! The bane of many, the romantic indulgence of some; when restaurants are packed and couples abound.

I have to say, I’ve never been a huge fan of this red and pink holiday, and have always felt that Cupid’s work should be celebrated every day! But there is something about Valentine’s that just sorta… pulls me in. Despite the over-the-topness, a little part of me can’t help but love it too.

So, to celebrate this day in a way that’s still, well, sane, I’m sharing a throwback session from two old friends of mine. I grew up with Mary Evelyn and was even her roomie in college, and Matt actually officiated Tyler’s and my own wedding. Matt is one of those people that just absolutely head-over-heels adores his wife, and I so enjoyed being able to capture their love at their engagement session.
